Love that Lowball MPG Target!

    Don't you just love the way the G3 Prius Chief Engineer set that MPG target at "relatively modest" 62.9, so that all (or almost all) the car mag drive reviewers could write and brag about how they were able to beat his mark?!

    I'll bet it was deliberate on his part, enabling them all preen in their write-ups on their eco-driving skills while also praising the improved performance.

    That would have been a brilliant stroke of marketing!

    Unfortunately, we didn't plan it that way. He drove it in a reasonable manner (according to him), and frankly, was embarrassed he got beat by all the journalists. Though, of course now he is all smiles.
