Low mileage oil changes

    My 04 Prius has 2600 miles after five months. I may have my first oil change at seven months and around 3000 miles.

    My question is: Will the change oil reminder still come on flashing at 4500 miles and steady at 5000 miles or is this reminder reset?

    [font=Lucida Console:f436e64d6c] [/font:f436e64d6c] The oil reminder is was you program so, you can change the reminder to 3,000 miles if you like. If I read the manual right, once it reminds you have to reprogram the next one.

    i think he is talking about the Maint. Req. on the dash. That will blink at 4500 Mi. from last reset, and stay steady at 5K from last reset.

    So, while car is off, go to Ig-On while holding the ODO button, and continue to hold for 5 seconds when the '00000' disappears.
