My 2007 has a "Maint req" light on. It first came on at start up and then went off, now it is on all the time. I reset it after every oil change, las oil change less than 100 miles ago. The car just turned 100,000. Scan gauge shows no real or pending codes. Is there a service interval at 100k that would trigger the light? I can simply just reset it, but I'm wondering if there may be another issue.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

    Icarus

Are you sure you did it? Why not just do it again now? It's just a reminder, it doesn't have a brain

The MAINT REQD light is based upon a 5K mile odometer timer. The light blinks for several seconds when the timer reaches between 4,500 and 5,000 miles since the last reset, then the light becomes on solid at 5,000 miles.

There is nothing special about reaching 100K miles from the timer's point of view. Apparently that timer was not reset at the prior oil change 100 miles ago.
