Hello all, New Prius owner here, I have not officially named my car yet but thought red hot chili pepper fits the car . I picked up the car last Friday just before leaving for a trade show in another state, I didn't get to really drive it until I came back on Sunday. My brand spanking new Prius is the most awesome car I've ever bought, this is the second car I bought that's brand new, when I drove it from the dealership, the odo has 1 mile on it!!! ... I'm reading everything and anything related to Prius, haven't had the pulse and glide mastered yet but I'm practicing every chance I get! As of right now, I have 191 miles on it with 44.3 MPG! compared to my Montero with 18 MPG. I'm soooo LOOVVIINNGGG my Prius! I have a quick question regarding the reset button on the consumption screen, do you reset it after filling the tank? and what's the purpose of resetting it?
congrats on the car. are you in il? if you reset it each time you get gas you will be able to get the mpg for that tank. others don't reset it so they can get the lifetime mpg since they owned it. it is up to you. i like to reset it each time to see what i get each tank. you can also just do the lifetime in a spread sheet and such. just up to you.
Hey, eco. I got rid of my Montero for a Prius too! I got mine last Friday. It was a little hard to let go of the Montero - except for the gas.
