Meetup-Celebrate Second Prius

Please come and celebrate our second Prius. Although we did not take delivery on it yet, we do have a VIN number and expect it to arrive in the next week or so.

Just to let you all know, we did receive the 2008 spectra blue Prius and will celebrate at the date and time below. We will have at least two prii there, which will be as many as some of the other meet-ups.

This page contains coupons for the restaurant but I can't find their website. I have it on good authority that the food is good. Chicken or lamb kebob, boneless tondoori (any chicken), and roti (whole wheat bread) are recommended for those of us who don't care for Indian food. Based on this recommendation I intend to be there.

I won't be able to make it. Congrats on the second Prius, though!

I had a great time with robertm & composter. I topped off the tank before today's trip--59.8mpg calculated, 54.9 on the MFD.

It was a perfect Prius day, temps in the mid 40's on the way up & mid 50's on the way home with the solar heating turned on. At the restaurant the MFD was at 57.2mpg. The final count is 86 miles, 58.6mpg travelling on US1, US130, & I-295.

Composter, let's call your car "baseline" or "reference point", not unmodded.

I had this wacky fantasy about heading down there to join the
fun, but I wound up needing to do something else Sunday and
I would have had to take off at like 7am to do it. But I'm glad

Sorry I missed the meet! (Admittedly, I failed to check the boards for a couple weeks, my fault!)

Congrats on the second Prius!

They practically had to kick us out! JimN was a splendid luncheon companion and showed me a bunch of things on his vehicle that I would not have understood from any description. My "baseline" Prius is a pleasure to drive and a joy to behold.

Now I need to think about block heaters. As with everything else, it isn't so simple. How many people with block heaters also park exclusively on the street?

Hmmm, I hear there was some kind of sporting event that day. I had to sleep the rest of the day after that amazing buffet. Hope to see more Prii next time!
