all of you with the V open the hood and look at the coolant recovery tank and follow the hose down to the T and check to see if you have a hose clamp on the hose that comes from the recovery tank, if not put one on. This hose connection sees upwards of 15 PSI and could easily blow off in hot climates with the loss of engine coolant. I hate to say it but this will probably turn into a recall. I checked 3 new Prius today and non had a clamp on the hose. All the other arms of the T have clamps except the one to the recovery tank.

If you checked a total of 4 different cars and none of them had the hose clamp, then my guess is that the car was designed to work without them. Also, I assume your 15 PSI is 15 PSI absolute and not 15 PSI guage :).

Not missing at all. There's an old thread somewhere about the missing clamp, that was started when the GenIII first came out.

Its the same on the 2010 gen III. the spigot has a very aggressive barb which the hose is forced over. I queried this with my dealer back in 2010. They checked with Toyota who said that it's fine. Mine has done 80,000+ miles through some very hot high speed drives and it is still looking fine.
