I stumbled on this old thread from 2006 (Most efficient speed for best MPG? | PriusChat). i thought both the discussion and the data were very interesting. Does anyone have hard data on mpg vs. mph for the PIP?

the biggest EV killer in my experience is actually starts and stops. i managed to go 45 mph on flat roads and "beat" the EV miles remaining estimate when traveling late at night with all traffic lights in sync. on local roads during the day, my max speed rarely reaches 35 mph and i can never beat the mileage estimate on the MID.
