I've seen the Ford Escape ad on TV and I appreciated the not-so-subtle jab (and the latecomer-trying-to-catch-up-by-putting-others-down mentality ), but I hadn't seen the Prius ad. That one is hilarious! And also tongue-in-cheek. I think Toyota marketing execs know the image that's being tossed around in the media and they had some fun with it!

Ford has a sensible vehicle in the Escape Hybrid. They sure aren't trying to sell many of them. I suspect they don't make any money on them.

Anyone else see the irony of a commercial advertising a vehicle that you didn't feel like you needed to talk about?

Just kind of funny to me. I wonder who the Ford ad peeps were referring to as hybrids that have to talk about it?
