Multi-Information Display - How To Turn Off?

    I know you can turn off the Multi-Information Display (MID) via the "Display" button on the steering wheel. However, after you turn the car off, the default setting is for the MID to turn back on when the car is started. Is there a way to have the default setting for the MID to be "off" when the car is started? I find the display annoying and would rather have it off all the time.

    You'd think that if you set it to off it would stay that way until you went back into settings and turned in back on.

    Check the "settings" menu to see if you can actually set it to "off".

    Page 203 of the manual says you can turn it off, and appears to describe that as off until you adjust the setting again, but that appears not to be the case.
