    Really wish we didn't need to have front number plates ruins the look of the front.

    Nah, you just wish the steering wheel was on the RIGHT side ;)


    And welcome pcdave. It's a mine of information this site. The US Prius gen2 is very similar to the UK version, except theirs have drum brakes at the rear and sloppy suspension (except their touring models). Oh and they might have a fuel tank bladder - though as I have a gen3 I'm not sure if the UK gen2's have it or not.

    One thing to check on your car is when the 12v battery was replaced. If you're on the original you might want to change it now so as to avoid possible electrical gremlins. The 12v is pretty much the only Prius weak spot.

    Welcome to PC if we get a couple of more Brits we might have to start using our toes to count them all.

    The UK Gen2 Prius does not have the bladder in the fuel tank and the steering is on the right side as Grumpy said, two things to be thank full for on a great car.

    Last week as it died I made a thread about it £90 quid including the use of the brand new yaris for 3 days :D
