That looks REALLY cool. Great job! I had the same reaction on seeing yours that I did on first seeing mine - that looks like it was intended to be that way!

Now there will be some who are not as enthusiastic. But we know that WE like it. That is what counts.

Added mine also. Not a PIP just a run of the mill Prius3/3...but thanks for the tip on the side moldings. Brilliant!

Notice the RX450 hybrid in background and the width of its body side moldings. The flat ones on the Prius look great.

Well, sure, the wheels are different, there is no chrome strip on top of the lower grill and it has a black top but I think it is BEAUTIFUL!!

We can protect our car from "parking lot rash" and still be proud of it.

I think you guys are great with the addons. I was going to keep my stock, but totally changed my mind after seeing what you have done! Excellent job..

Does the color match well (since BSM is for RAV4)? I have the blizzard pearl also.

Any thought of painting mudguard to match the body color?
    Any thought about painting the

blakmster painted his mudguards and it looks great. He might want to comment on that. Here is a close up of the color match of the RAV4 blizzard Pearl BSMs. I think it is perfect.

I forgot to make the attachment and I have to wait five minutes before I can submit it.

As I said in an earlier post, I got mine from my dealer. In browsing around the Internet, I saw RAV4 BSMs for sale. Not all were factory parts, though. I was willing to pay the few dollars premium to be sure I was getting the real thing and it would match. If you are comfortable with an alternative source, go for it. I gave the part number, also, in an earlier post in this thread.

i waffled a bit on painting the mud guards, but when I put them on originally (just black) they looked like an add on piece. After painting them to match my classic silver mettalic ... I think they look great and like they are part of the car.

I wasn't going to even get mud guards, but after i drove the car a little .... i realized the wheels had splattered my brand new car with spittle.

I wasn't going to get the molding either because I had only seen that skinny strip type molding and thought it looked cheezy and added on. I have always thought the Prius looked kinda gay and I just wanted to get in the car pool lane, but when I saw Allannde's car pick ... I though "that prius actually looks cool" ...

Now that I have had my plug in for a couple of weeks, I get it and am happily in this fraterity - AND I STILL DON'T HAVE my sticker.

    PAINT THEM BLIZZARD WHITE!

Oh, I searched the part on the internet, then hade my local Toyota dealer match the price of dealer in Florida they were 160 ... down to 122.50

    thnx,
    blake

My wife who, is a world class shopper, tells me that I am a terrible bargainer. Looks like good advice!

These RAV4 BSMs, perhaps helped by the tinting, really give the car a different look. The car does not seem as tall and tail heavy. I find that it grows on me. All I was looking for was protection from dings, but there is a payoff for these "do dads".

I am excited to see the possibility... just ordered the lower rocker panel...Need to find a good price for BSM.

Is it even possible to paint the mudguard with Blizzard Pearl? or are they available as a factory painted mudguard?

I am sure that it is possible. My favorite body shop says they can do it, but I would not expect it to be cheap. Matching paint color is and art and with two stage paint like Blizzard Pearl, it is more challenging. Actually, this is the reason for my going to the trouble to do this mod. I wanted to avoid the need to do touch up painting.

I have some Blizzard Pearl touch up paint but I have not tried it yet. It is possible that a perfect match would not be required to look good for mudguards.

Besides, I kind of like the combination of black and white. But painted mudguards look really cool.

I have not heard of pre painted mud guards.

I think I will skip the painted mudguard and maybe get a bumper protector since I often use my trunk to carry heavy stuff.

The colors codes for the Rav4 in blizzard pearl and silver are identical to the Prius PLugIn. The blue, the seaglass and the gray are NOT Rav4 colors.

Hey those do look good though!!
