    There is this box under my drivers seat does anyone know what this is? I don't have nav [​IMG]

    its part of the electrical ejection seat ;-)

    Where else would they put the radioactive material that makes the high mpg in the Prius possible? Better get some lead undies. ;)

    I also have a M II 2010 - no box like that under the seat. Your prior owner must have done a mod as it doesn't look OEM.

    Hmm the prior owner worked at the dealer so that could be. Will look at it closer when I clean before and after our vacation this weekend. ☺️ Love how little it costs to go on the road

    Come on folks! What's with all of the shady info? I understand you're pulling his chain a bit, but at least back it up with some real answers!

    Listen up YOLOsoBuyaPrius, your car was likely owned by Yoshihara Shinto Goku Hadoken Ryu Toyoda himself. That is a custom option which balances the car at EXACTLY 50/50 weight distribution front and rear. Soooo jealous!

    We'll if it really is 50/50 distribution it doesn't work if a heavier person is on one side because we messed our under grill guard up on a family vacation. It doesn't open that I know of. tomorrow I probably will be cleaning for a 4 hour trip to Iowa on Sunday. I will look very closely at it and try to take pics from angled views to see the front and sides. :) and did the toyoda guy really own a winter gray metallic package ll 2010 Prius?

    I wander if it is for tracking of some sort. Any wires leading into it? Was the car a previously fleet owned car? Another option is insurance tracking. I think Progressive offers discounts based on your actual driving habits. Could this be the box that records and sends the info?

    The "Snapshot" is an OBDII device that plugs in where your Scangauge II does. it looks like:

    We could speculate all day and all night on the "mystery box", but the OP needs to take a closer look at it. OP: if it has wires leading to it, it might be a Lojack or part of another aftermarket tracking device. Does your Prius have a KARR aftermarket alarm system? (blue button and LED on lower left dash)

    Does it have any wires connected to it? My car has a box under the driver's seat but I think it's the satellite radio receiver and it has 3 cables connected to it. It looks like yours has screws to hold the cover on, you could take them out and see what's inside, that might be fun.

    There are some wires and we do have sat radio but I thought that would be better integrated than that we don't have fancy speakers or anything. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]
    And nothing in odb port

    It's probably the processing box for the sat. Radio
    Unplug it and see if the sat radio stops working, then you will have your answer

    Do you have Ultrasonic parking sensors on your rear bumper? If you do that might be the ECM for the parking sensors.
