Ok, what we have here is NOT an OEM factory button but some damn add on. Does anyone recognize what this might be? There are only two wires coming out of this little contraption. I sent a text to the previous owner and she said she never seen it before. Duh, you had the car for over a year and don't recognize it. Even suggested that my husband installed something. I said, "Uh no....it has been there since I bought it from you." So any help would be appreciated.

I'm curious what happens when you press it.

    Here is another fugly photo

Pressing it while the car is off nothing happens. I am NOT about to press it when the car is on. It may be the eject button!

It looks like you can 'unplug' it from the bottom where the wire go in.

I don't know, so this response is just a guess, but blue button notwithstanding, the top of the device looks as though it's the female end of some kind of wired connector -- to perform some sort of diagnostics maybe? Or perhaps it was used to connect a set of lights on a trailer?

If this were "Car Talk" I'd think Click and Clack would send you to the nearest Prius dealer to find out. And DO let us all know what you find.

The previous owner sounds a bit disconnected. Just like your little black and blue box there...

Oh man after reading this it sounds like I may be screwed. KARR systems sucks!!!! My wonderful significant other found how to program it....and it screwed.

At this point I would rather have the ejection seat and no sunroof! However, the system cost over $600.00 installed. So we are reading the directions on how to program it, what it does, and finally what the hell does it disable...bottom line.

I have this exact thing on my Sienna. It's an alarm, glass breakage thing I believe. I can't say I've paid any attention to it. It doesn't do anything except flash a blue light.

Google Karr Car alarms and you will find out all the instructions on what they do. Remember....just don't press it and hold it down before you know what it does :)

First time I've seen one of those, found how to uninstall it on this site, if you decide to delete it. I'll have to read some to see what it does.

KARR is added to the car alarm system, it is understanding what it does, you can call KARR and talk to them. they should have a record of it based on the car. It is a aftermarket dealer add-on, unless it was enabled by the previous owner, they come from the dealer un activated.
