It is so annoying this nav beep all the time before she wants to guide me the route. Can I disable it? I didn't find anything in the manual.... Is there anyone who is bothered by it like me?
Hello Tom, Probably, I have 2011 Manual it doesn't show anything about the beep on page 236. Can you what section it is? I like the voice guide, but the beep before voice guide. :rockon:
Page 252 under general settings, on or off for beeps The next choice is the important one, on or off auto screen change, I leave it off so the nav screen doesn't dominate the MFD, because the GPS is unable to find the wet paper bag it's stuck in,jmho
The beep sound on/off was for "audible when making screen selection". I was asking about the sound notification before voice guidance.... but still thanks... there may be no way to disable " Sound " before Navi gives route guidance...
I thought the 2010 and 2011 had the same nav system, maybe not. I disabled mine with the instructions I sent you. Did you try to get the manual from Toyota owner's site? There may be something else that needs to be disabled as well the voice guidance, I don't remember for sure.
