I need to purchase an amplifier for my 2005 Prius. Of course Toyota dealer quote is $890.00 for one. Is there another option where I can get one less expensive?? Thanks!!
If you are not familiar with stereo wiring and compatibility issues, leave this up to a quality stereo retailer/installer. If your car has an amplifier and you are looking to just remove and replace the existing amplifier, check with salvage yards. They routinely remove the stereos and components such as speakers and amps from wrecked cars. And of course, there is ebay and craigslist. For a used unit, you should pay 25-50% of the cost of a new one.
