I'm about to get my first Prius. I'd use a smiley face icon here but I hate those things. Anyway, you know how I feel.

The problem is the floor mats. I have no choice but to pay for and get the carpeted ones, but that's not what I need. My work sometimes takes me to beaches, and as a result I track sand into the car. (You can imagine what the floor of my 95 Toyota pickup looks like, with 280K miles on it). I've been reading the forum and see mention of Weathertech mats, but their web site doesn't say they're yet available for the 2010. Are the OEM all-weather mats good enough? If they don't fit, I don't want them. Should I wait or buy the Toyota mats? I'll need something sand- and dirt-proof right away. Oh, also a cargo mat.

    Thanks for your advice.

The WeatherTech cargo mat for the 2010 is available and you can buy it through the PrisChat store. But the front and rear seat mats by WeatherTech are not available yet, although they say they will be ready any day now. Many people like the OEM all-weather mats, though in my opinion, it looks like the WeatherTech version provides superior protection. My opinion is based on looking at pictures and researching other people's reviews, so you may want to take this with a grain of salt since I have never owned either one.

I plan on ordering the WeatherTech mats once the front/rear are released.

My preference are the OEM all-weather mats. I looked at both before making my decision. Either set will serve you well.
