Hi folks, I wanted to say "hi" as I became a new owner of an 05 Salsa Red, Cream Leather interior, Pkg 6 Prius a couple of weeks ago. It has 79k, no accidents and fairly clean (a couple of dings here and there). I paid about $14k +taxes. Also comes with CA carpool stickers...nice! So, I have my first week's stats in. Pretty impressive!... Used 6.4 gallons for 334 miles. Avg about 52 mpg. Wow. Less carbon footprint, a BIG plus. About $80 per month for gas with the Prius, compared to apprx $210 per month with my 02 Acura MDX (at $3 per gallon, assuming 19 mpg for the MDX (on a GOOD day)). I'm loving it. I'm starting to apply some "hypermiling" techniques on my ventures out with the car. Two questions... 1 - I'm trying to find a detail shop in So Cal that uses Zaino as I want to get my Prius detailed. Anyone have any suggestions on a good detail shop that uses Zaino in So Cal? 2 - I'm going to install a Britax Marathon car seat in the Prius. Any gotchas I should look for? Thx!
:welcome:Welcome to PC, Salsa Red is one of my favorite Prius colors I wish it were still available but I think '05 was it's last year on the Prius. You may not get answers to your two questions in this forum. I would suggest reposting them in the Gen II Care, Maintenance forum.
