Ordered a Prius V Blizzard Pearl w/ NAV and Charcoal interior about 2 weeks ago. It arrived Friday. I have owned many cars and this is absolutely the finest of them all. Took some heat for trading in my 07 Mustang GT/CS but 75% of people love the Prius. The other 25% think I am crazy. I had my windows tinted at a custom shop here and the guy fell in love with everything the car could do. I bought the wife an Insight a couple weeks ago. I liked many things about the Insight. After reading alot about the Prius I was intrigued and decided to test drive one. I told the salesman if this car lived up to the hype it was a done deal. Needless to say I am a new Prius owner.
I feel your pain on trading in. I traded my 400 hp monster subaru for mine. We traded in my wifes car two weeks ago for an 07 prius. I used it to commute for one week to work. After driving the 07 for a week, i went and test drove a 2010. Needless to say I used the fact that we just purchased a car a week ago to gain some serious discounts on a new prius. Never thought ever in my life i would drive a hybrid, but things change I suppose!
You will just get to enjoy your car more and more as you get used to everything it does. I traded a Ford Sport Trac for my first Prius. All of a sudden I could turn on a dime, stop way faster and not do half the maintenance or recalls that I experienced with other cars. Of course the new Prius is even more fun than the last one!!!
I am absolutely loving this vehicle. Most of my friends love riding in it and playing with all the cool things you can do. I never thought I would drive a hybrid either. Many of my friends are now looking into the Prius as well. I think I may have started a trend here.

Congratulations on your new Prius! In case you don't already know, Toyota advises against tinting because of the possibility that GPS reception could be degraded. See the NOTICE on page 306 in the Appendix of the 2010 Prius Navigation System Owner's Manual - which states: "The installation of window tinting may obstruct the GPS signals. Most window tinting contains some metallic content that will interfere with GPS signal reception of the antenna in the instrument panel. We advise against the use of window tinting on vehicles equipped with navigation systems." Jim
I don't believe that the GPS quality will be degraded. I have 20% tint all around (except the windshield) and never have a problem with the GPS signal. Perhaps my tint doesn't have any metal in it but I still think if it did, it would not adversely effect the reception. Toyota tends to err on the conservative side, so don't be too concerned about that statement in the manual.
i have mine tinted all around with 35% and it's ceramic 3m, no metal in it at all. i have even noticed my xm reception is better than in my last car. the ceramic is a little more expensive but worth it. tracy
Congratulations. I just got my first prius 4 months ago and am in love with it. I actually look forward to my 60 mile (round trip) commute.
