I just bought my Prius last week and I can't be happier. I did research on the Prius and other hybrids but didn't drive my old car very much or very long on any given day and the money wasn't available. The military moved me to northern Virginia and the moon and stars came into perfect alignment. My theory is that a combination of Christmas debt remorse, Toyota's loss of their tax incentives, and Virginia DMV not issueing new clean fuel plates for I-95/395 created a temporary, yet perfect, storm in my buying area.
Welcome to PC, Jack. So what colour did you get? People here always want to know colour preferences. Pictures would also be nice (not that I can really talk here when I am without even a avatar to my name - one of these days I will co-ordinate my daughter, who has the camera, the weather and me to all be in the right place to get at least one photo). Please take the time to read through some of the threads, but if there is anything you do not understand, also don't hesitate to ask the questions.
Thanks Back at Ya I appreciate the hearty welcome! I didn't know how to include an avatar but that should be fixed now. I live in Stafford, VA and my Prius is Barcelona Red. I have to be honest and say I didn't pick the color. The dealer in Stafford had four unsold Prii on the lot and I wanted something basic. Package 2 seemed to be about right for me (I wanted to listen to my iPod podcasts) and the Barcelona Red was a package 2.
