Hey guys! Just got my Prius last Monday and love it! But have others noticed how SUVs and trucks have a grudge against us or something? For whatever reason, I'm being tailgated by them a lot more frequently. I'm going 8 or 9mph above the speed limit? Also when I pass one, some of them would speed up to be in front of me. I find this all really amusing. Have others experience this?
Yes, I've noticed that too. I think they think "that's one of those hybrids, it must be slow to get that good mileage so I have to get in front of it..." I just let them and then tuck in (at a safe distance) behind them - drafting helps with the fuel economy!
My previous car was an Acura RSX Type S with 210 HP. I never thought anything about a particular "slow" car. I just passed them all on the right or left. Now I'm content to let others pass me on the right or left.:mod:
