 My new Prius is not so new now that I got my new California Plates. I'm glad I got a decent letter and number sequence, much easier to remember than my '07.

Any other Plates come in? How about custom ones for your 2010?

Mine came today, 2.5 weeks after I took delivery--the quickest I've experienced. So much for the California budget crisis. :D

anticipating the arrival, almost 2 years after the process began, of my arkansas Razorbacks tags.

I'll have to abbreviate my "TOGOB4" tag I currently use to "GOB4" unfortunately, but it's worth it.

My new plate came in yesterday (6/19). I took delivery of car on on June 2nd. My temp plate was good until mid-July. My first thought was, "Hmmm, they must not be selling many new cars to get plates so soon".

I'm keeping my 01L N00 (looks like OIL? NOO!) hybrid plate sequence from my last car - just waiting for tags/registration so I can pull the temp paper plate!

The dealer got my plates yesterday and is mailing them to me. Took deliver June 11th but my temp was only valid to July 2nd.

I like your custom plate HTMLSpinnr.

I took delivery of my 2010 Prius V on May 29th. Still waiting for the license plates. However, I received the title (pink slip) yesterday.

Ironically, it's a random sequence - not custom! Couldn't believe my luck

All AZ hybrid plates were originally xxL Nxx starting with 00L N00 and ending with 99L N99 (10,000 total, excluding handicapped, etc.). Mine would be the 101st.

    Dude that totally Rocks!
That's like a step or two below winning the lottery.

    Keeping on topic,
I picked up my tabs on 6/17, 12 days after picking up my vehicle on 6/5.

We have really nice license plates in Oregon. We have three letters or numbers separated by a green tree and three more numbers or letters all over a shaded mountain background.

I did not opt for personalized license plates for the Prius so we'll see what numbers we get. We still own CAR4TWO a tag for one of our sports cars.

I just got my license plates about 3 days before my temporary tags expired! My sales guy didn't do his job, especially after I reminded him by calling him on the phone to mail me my tags!

Anyway.. so I was installing them in last week and there were NO holes in the front bumper?! How do I attach my front tags without getting the stupid tag holders?

Virginia requires front and back tags. What a drag - as of now my front tags are on my dash. Any suggestions??)

I think you have to buy a plate bracket assy. I moved to ny from nc and had to put a front plate on and toyota charged me 44.00 for it.

Does that just hook into the grill (I think that's what the black part is called? not a car person), but not sure if I should just have my Dad drill holes into the bumper for me. I just want my car to look as simple as possible - no add ons.

When you added the plate bracket on, did Toyota charge you for the installation or the brack itself?

I did it my self. On my 2006 and I assume yours also has 2 little dimples on the front bumper and that's where the mounting screws go to hold the bracket. Since you bought this car from a dealer I would suggest to have them do it since that's there job.

Depending on where you are, you'll still be caught as they'll take a photo of the rear of the car at the same time as the front.

Each car comes w/ a front bracket - there should be nothing to purchase. If your dealer tossed the bracket, they owe you a replacement. The dealer can install or leave off the bracket. If not installed, usually they're left in the rear cargo area under the floor. Mine's still floating in there. ;)

A factory supplied front plate holder comes with the car and mine was left in the plastic storage compartment under the cargo mat/carpet. You will need to have the front bumper drilled to mount it, but the dealer should do that for you for free. In fact, they should have done that before you took delivery of the car. For Petes sake, they know that your state law requires both front and rear plates. I'd let them know that you are NOT happy that the factory provided front plate holder was not installed before you took delivered and that you intend to reflect that fact on the Toyota customer satifaction survey.
