    After two weeks of driving the new C, I have noticed we get about 40 to 45 mpg in our city (hilly rather than flat area), about 51 on the freeway, and 57.7 in the big city (flatlands). Funny that we do better on the freeway than in our city.

    i just purchased my C Friday night. I'm still on the complimentary full tank of gas from the dealership. I have gone 76 miles and the first notch on the gas gauge dissappeared. I guess thats good? i will post how many miles i get on that tank.

    57 mpg on the first drive home from the dealership. Mostly hwy miles with a distance of around 60 miles.
    Have gotten as much as 74 around town with fortunate traffic patterns.
    Have not checked the computer with fuel consumption yet as I am still waiting for my first fill up.

    I got around 4.1L/100km on the ~60km drive back from the dealership on county roads. Went for a 30km drive around Toronto this evening, and got down to about 4.2 L/100km by the end of it. Really need to hone my city driving habits, but it's an addictively fun challenge!

    My first tank lasted 456. This is with a combo of highway and city driving (only about 35-40% city, though). Speeds stay between 25-70mph. Still in the break in period. Can't wait to see what my second fuel up brings!

    First tank average mpg was 52.7 and was a mix of probably 70/30 hwy/city. This was actual, not the computer read out.

    I seem to have better mileage on the freeway instead of the road. I avaerage 53 MPG freeway and 46-68 o roads? Does anyone else have the same reverse mileage per gallon?

    Got my Prius C a week ago to be my drive to work and back car - 38 miles one way, about 50% town & country roads and 50% highway - so far I get - without trying to hard - between 55 and 58 mpg.

    How do you drive on the non hwy roads? Aggressive accelerating from stops? Are there any hills? what is the different in speed on the hwy and other roads? Give us some more info and we should be able to figure out what is going on.

    There are tons and tons of threads and videos on how to drive a Prius in other forum areas. Obviously the car is a tad different but the concepts pretty much are all the same.

    You should realize that typically, the MPG gauge (Consumption) reads about 5% high. You really need to join fuelly.com to track your actuals.

    Just remember, you will steadily improve your driving techniques as time goes on.
