Hi Guys, I just bought today a brand new Package IV 2010 Prius with Solar roof package,B.Pearl color. The new Prius already had 320 miles when with the dealer.When I asked the dealer abt it he said he was able to find one that I wanted from NY hence he bought one just for me. I thought the new Prius will be brought to the dealer by a truck from another state or something like that. I bought the car for $30,000(inclusive of floor mats and dealer fee)wht do u guys thibk of the price? Thanks in advance PriusL
Sounds pretty fair and with the PKG 4 and Solar Roof, I think you did fine. That's hard to find since the Solar Roofs are high demand, so you were lucky to get one, and I wish you a lot of happiness with the car! Congratulations!!!! I got a PKG 5 and it was by luck, right time, right place and have not regretted a thing...and paid almost 32K. But loving it so no regret here.... Enjoy!:cheer2:
Yes, congratulations I hope you are happy. I don't think your price was unfair, sounds reasonable. Did you ask this dealer to obtain you a Pkg 4 with sunroof? I would also expect that if you were purchasing a "new" car that it would be transported by car carrier or truck. Seems odd to me that it would actually be driven for 320 miles. If your happy, your happy. Was the dealership your dealership purchased from 320 miles away? Or was this Prius used as a demonstrator? I'd still be 100% happy but I'd want to know more about how it racked up those miles before being sold to you.
Hate to be skeptical but I suspect the mileage was from being a demo or a loaner. I could be wrong. In any case, you got what you want and those miles will likely not make a bit a difference. Welcome and enjoy the ride!
My gen II had ~315 mi on it when I got it, They had driven it up from a dealership in NJ to Clifton Park, NY. Still works fine after 67,000 miles and 2.5 yrs so don't worry about it.
Yes I asked for the package IV solar roof Blizzard Pearl.The dealer said 2 dealers have those cars in a 500 mile radius and said he could get one if I wanted.So he said he bought the car from the dealer from upstate NY as we Live in CT.He said he got someone driven to NY to get me the car.By the time I went to the dealer he got it all washed and there was no plastic on the seats. For an instant I did not feel I was getting into a brand new car.The whole thing feels weird.
