S'up all... I just made it through the "CIA" like registration process

Yahoo had the spam blocker on which I've never had from another site.

Anyway, looking forward to the site as I actually sell Toyotas  and love the Prius.

Welcome to Priuschat. Toyotas are great cars and they usually sell themselves. I am not a salesman but I would love to sell Hondas or Toyotas. If you haven't already picked it up, read a book called "Integrity Selling" by Ron Willingham. It isn't a long read but you and your customers will be glad you read it.

Welcome to PriusChat, Newportdog! Yahoo has it's own Prius groups, so maybe they are protecting their turf with treating PC as spam. We have a couple of Toyota sales people on the site, as well as a few hybrid techs. Don't be too discouraged by the bad-mouthing of "sales droids" at the "stealerships". Few are as motivated as you to join and actually learn from Prius driver's experience. Keep reading PriusChat and you'll be the go-to guy when it comes to HSD vehicles!

    No prob...

As long as no one gets offended by the occasional "buyers are liars" response, then we're all good.

Buyers ARE liars if they don't know what they want. I don't mean to call anyone a liar, but that might be a good viewpoint from a salesperson trying to figure out what someone truly wants.

99% of customers are exteremly honest. The process may innately cause some trepidation, but the "lying" is almost always unique to the "professional shopper". As for "wants", the average Prius customer is among the most educated and forthright.
