Just another prototype to make investors happy. IOW a possible 2012 appearance in US showrooms? Hard to tell.

Japan is a market on it's own, I expect it would take five years after it's a hit there to become available here in US/Canada.

Fingers crossed that at least one major manufacturer will have highway capable EV's available for a test drive by 2012.

I filled out the "I'm interested" page.

This topic is all over the place. I consider this a big enough event to warrant being on the News page. It's also in the Other Cars section and perhaps a few others.

I didn't fill out their "Send me information" page because I don't want to get more junk email. But I am interested, and I hope they're really going to build this car. As I've said elsewhere, I would not be surprised if Nissan is the first major automaker to bring an EV to market this century.

But my interest is academic and political: I think we need more EVs, but I'm not in the market for a third EV.
