NJ Prius Meet - Saturday, June 23rd - The Ship Inn - Milford, NJ

Alrighty, now.

Rand and I will be meeting up on Saturday morning for a training ride which he assures me I can do entirely in EV mode on my Cannondale. :blink:

So, we'll meet in the big parking lot around the corner from The Ship In at 9:30 a.m. and head out by 10 a.m. (I think the parking lot is around the corner. The main street is a sneeze long so you really can't miss the parking lot. Going down the main street with The Ship Inn on your right, make a right and you'll find the parking lot. I think. Oh! You'll find it! Just don't sneeze.)

We'll return to The Ship Inn around noon for lunch.

Post here if you plan on joining in on either the bike ride, the lunch, or both.

The ride is to gear up for the Priuschat MS Bike Tour.

This will be a training ride for the Priuschat Cycling Team - then a lunch meetup for anyone else. If you are riding a bike, be sure to bring water/gatorade to drink.

Mileage for this training ride is probably going to be about 26 (along the river, so no real hills):
- 13 miles down the river to the Bulls Island Foot Bridge then
- 13 Miles back up the other side of the river to the starting point (and some good lunch).

There is a chance that I might invade NJ again. I would join you for biking, but I would have to fix my bike first.

My wife and I will try and be there for lunch.

Yes, yes we're riding on Saturday. Tomorrow. Wouldn't miss it for the world. Weather is going to be high of 77 and sunny. Just gorgeous. Perfect for riding, and priuschat meeting. By seven more days (now is six more days), I meant the iPhone will be available. 6:00 p.m. at local AT&T/Cingular stores and Apple Stores June 29th.

I took today off. Had a 5K mile service done on the Prius this morning. Going to take it to the car wash now to get it all spiffied up. Then off to the bike store to pick up a lock for my hitch and maybe something for me.


Trevor wants to iPhone speculate. Such as: Will the BT in my Prius see the iPhone? Who will come out with an iPhone mount for my Prius and how quickly? Can I get an iPhone steering wheel mount for my bike? (I've been toying with getting a Nuvi...). Stuff like that. B)

I would love to come this time and bring my SO and our blind Pug...but we've move-in house projects (like a hundred moving boxes, etc.!). It's been quite a trip (literaly) to get everyone and everything out here. The moving truck got 9 MPG, Heather's Prius full of critters got 48 MPG. 1700 miles and 3 1/2 days.

Say, when I was in Rome, I took a tour of Torre Argentina (Roman ruins include four temples and the place where Ceasar was killed before they trotted his body off to the Forum). Anyway, it's been a cat sanctuary of late. Lots of folks (particularly americans) volunter their time to care for stray cats, feeding them, fixing them, and attending to their medical needs. I met this one blind kitty. BROKE MY HEART. I BARELY COULD STAND IT. Sweetest thing ever!

begin fantasy/ When I become independently wealthy (read: hit the lottery), I, too, will become a friend to Torre Argentina. I'll probably keep my silver Prius here in the US and buy another to tool around the suburbs of Rome and up to my Tuscan villa. Wonder what color I should get.... maybe red! yeah. yeah. /end fantasy.
