    Why do watchmakers sell waterproof watches w/ leather bands? It is such a disconnect and usually geared toward the same people who buy Hummers to drive to the mall in Florida.

    honestly...now a days its more of a fashion/hobby thing, much less on telling the actual time...everyone's got a cell phone and they are the most accurate we can get when it comes to time

    the watch is more about style, hobby, craftmanship etc.

    I understand completely. I own around 12 watches of vaied values. My nicest is the Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer. I seem to like manual winders also. Like the Kienkle Atlantis Mechanic. Swiss motors are so nice!

    If I bought that without warning the wife would own two Prii and I would be "former"!

    ^lol, yea im looking to sell this to pick up another piece...i am a fan of manual winds as well...Panerai being on top of the list

    the sale of this will let me get into my 2nd Panerai...so i have my fingers crossed and i am taking OBO
