Our 2006 Prius w-Nav/leather burned in a house fire three years ago. We found a 2009 Prius w-Nav/leather as a Certified Used car w-low dealer miles. Unfortunately, my wife wrecked it last week--she's fine--airbag saved her. So it's off again for Prius #3 at Atkinson Toyota in Bryan, Texas.
We have been completely satisfied in every dealing with the Sales Manager, Darren Day and the Service Manager, Craig Fletcher.
Craig is a walking Toyota encyclopedia and has answered many a question from my inquiring mind.
Now my wife wants a Prius v--Darren Day is completely accommodating and found a Prius v Five w-ATP for us and is trading with another dealer out of town.
Note that the Gen II Prius safety equipment has been upgraded in the Gen III Prius w-ATP package and now provides the DRCC-dynamic radar cruise control with LKA-lane keep assist, etc. We voted for this incredible technology package while realizing that in an instant it could be the deciding factor in a life-threatening auto accident. Expensive yes, but we are glad its offered---because its unavailable with most cars.

The v with ATP does not offer lane keep assist.

rdgrimes, unfortunately you are correct. I watched dozens of ToyotaUSA videos yesterday, screen copied key info, just checked my copy and found it titled, 2010 Prius: Lane Keep Assist, rather than titled Prius v.
This was important to us, so we may have to rethink the ATP package.
What was your thinking in purchasing your Prius v Five?

    Thanks, archiveman2977

The ATP offers Radar Assist Speed Control, Collision Avoidance System, Safety Connect and more, plus the Moon Roof and JBL system with 7" display. Whether that stuff is worth it to you is an open question, but it's a big package and the $5K price tag is fair.

...collision avoidance sounds important...maybe I need to think about getting that too.

From the brochure, the ATP package nav screen does not show a CD slot. Where is it?

    Thanks, archiveman2977

The whole screen opens, the slot is underneath.

You can wile away hours sitting there and hitting the eject button, watching in awe as the robotic display slides open and out. When open, it also makes a nifty shelf. ;)

Seriously though, the 7" HD display is a nice upgrade over the standard 6" one.

But in all candor, with a USB port and support for high quality MP3 and tags, its arguable that you'll never need to feed it a CD anyhow. It can search and catalog thousands of MP3 by album or artist. I have about 40GB of files on a thumb drive, over 5000 songs, that I just leave plugged in. It'll also allow you to feed audio from your phone or media player by bluetooth if you prefer the more robust software those devices tend to have.

Looks like technology has moved exponentially since the Gen II 6-CD JBL unit.
