I have been lurking, watching and learning for over a year now but finally was able to order my 2010 yesterday. Thank you to all of the posters that I have been reading till now.

What I found out is as has been discussed the solar availability. Hawaii as a state is only allotted 2 per month at this time. Which is fine i guess for me ill get mine in November. I have no clue on other areas and there avail.

Hawaii for those who do not know has a different thing with toyotas...Hawaii does not go through toyota USA, they have there own deal with toyota japan, so that could have something to do with it.

another tidbit is toyota safety connect, LKA, satellite radio are and will not be available for the foreseeable future.

thanx to everyone and your posts

I had been wondering about Hawaii. Do you have many 2010s yet? It seems that since it is closer to Japan and deals directly with Toyota Japan, you should be getting your cars sooner, not later than the rest of U.S. But I don't remember reading any other posts from people in Hawaii.

For comparison, at the dealer's I looked at the chicago (i guess midwest region but i'm not sure which other states are included) regional allotments. In June for the IV Solar, the region is getting 61 out of a total 1623 2010 prii.

I don't have the break downs for the next 2 months only totals, but the total is 1296 cars for july and then 665 cars for august. I'm not sure if they are set in stone or not.

I placed my special order at last Thursday. Since I am looking for the Prius III with Solar Roof Package and they don't have one with navi or the roof for me to take a look in the lot. They said they don't know how long it will takes and I am not ready to get a new Prius until October. So I placed my order in case it takes longer than 4 months to get. They didn't ask for any down payment to place the order and does anyone know how long it will take? Did they charge the 220 for the carpet when ur get the car?
