    Well done ! But I think your previous OS AS-PRIMA_ARM-SLC-V1.53 could'nt be an english version did'nt it ?
    I never had bluetooth problems with EN versions of V1.48, V1.50, V1.51 and V1.53.
    Top up to date version is EN....V1.55 There are also Microsoft WinCE updates included and that's why it can be installed only by format complete flash memory at the same time.
    Attention: The format command is included directly into the OS update. You MUST backup complete device NAND FLASH and StaticStore BEFORE starting the OS update !
    After update has finished restore these two backups again.

    Hi Bulle,
    if you like pls add this skin to your post#1 (How to update your UI).
    It's based on original RR skin for unit C6505A4 (Audi A4 / A6). Hansen enabled radio screen and I changed it to Toyota Logo. I like it very much cause all strings (text) are in big style and with high contrast visible.

    OK got it! Thanks Strados!
    And now we have Audi style skin for Toyota!
    Brought to you from our German friend Strados and Hansen who spent some serious time optimizing the original skin.
    A couple of things noteworthy:
    1) the Main screen has a lot more buttons for quick access
    2) so you have more room to customize the Apps screen
    3) all of the screens labels (text) have been made bigger
    4) all the colors have been optimized for best contrast
    Here are a few screens:

    I have not tested the skin but here is a package with both version RRUI 0.4 (for GUI 2.78.10) or v0.5 for higher GUIs.

    One more hint:
    If bluetooth name is empty like this:
    bt_name= string,""
    the UI will read the model name off MCU and display your cars name maybe "Prius". On my unit bluetooth is displaying "RAV4".

    does 1.53 or 1.55 comes with .NET Compact Framework ? I'm at 1.50 and don't have it...
    i think hobdrive will open faster if the windows have it... and maybe try to run EvoScanPPC too...

    my system is AR_PRIMA_ARM_SLC_V1.4
    how can i install the skin on it because there is no file name I9 in STATIC STORAGE
    also Home->Apps->Options->Skins cant locate the files .rrui , no browsing for them
    so, hows the way to install the skins ?

    It does'nt matter what OS (Windows CE) your unit is running. We are talking about the GUI (graphical user interface) software. If there is no folder "i9" in StaticStore but "D2280" it's not possible to use these skins.

    Unfortunately it's not possible by simple replace the GUI without special MCU-Update.
    But special MCU-Update was only released by Roadrover for those units which have NXP radio tuner built in. You can check by running tool "MCUUpdate_STM8.exe".
    These units have 4 software built in:
    - MCU = Firmware to low level control of all hardware like keys, display, audio DPS, CanBus interface,
    - OS = complete WinCE6.0 incl. gps engine,
    - GUI = all functions you can see and use on screen,
    - Bluetooth firmware = to control RF module

    Just run it, it's without risc. It will show all built in hardware. Better make a screenshot or photo and post here.
    BTW, what unit do you have ??? There are only less models RR developed a special MCU update for.

    Hello Strados. I am sorry for barging into your forum but it appears to be the most advanced forum on the roadrover units and I have already gathered so much information thanks to you guys. I do not have a Prius but I have a roadrover for Mazda CX-7 and I am trying to update my MCU to at least be able to have a hybrid between G1\G2 so I can change the UI. I have uploaded two files with the MCU information collected so at least to find out if an MCU update might be possible for my unit.

    Built in radio tuner TEF6624 is the NXP ! So if you're lucky there is an update but I don't know since now.
    Next I need the exact model number of your unit. It's part of the serial (barcode label on housing). Should be C7027C7.
    BTW where do you from ?
