    welcome on this forum.
    For the DVD menu; you will have to post a picture to show how it looks like.
    About the front page; yes should be possible; you can use either the RRUIEditor or the RRUITool. (look at post #1)

    It may be that your shell (2.87.3) is special; I don't have that particular one so I can not test it.
    But if you want, you can zip it and post it here or sent it to me privately and I'll take a look.

    wait a bit cause it is holiday here. will post the picture
    and try to zip the files. just tell me which files you want

    and also the "Apps' menu is missing 1 icon. i guess it is the iPod icon. maybe because my unit doesnt support it?

    Well that would be sad; but I'm quite sure your iPod is supported; it probably just needs to be enabled in the menus.
    Please zip the I9 folder and send it to me; I'll take a look.

    there is DVD button on the right side of the screen so i want to change that to Movie from the Apps folder.
    i will show you the Apps menu later. right now i am driving. kinda hazard to drive n shoot LOL

    i dont know maybe the firmware is different

    but if u can help me cause i really like the Metal design, but lacks of icons confuses me. lol

    i wish i can edit on my own. haha im a slow learner

    Hello frog,

    welcome to this forum.

    the RRUIEditor supports only the skins with old widgets; new widgets like compass are not supported.
    To get around this, you need to finish the editing by using the RRUITool which will let you edit each widget in a text file which you can rebuild later in a skin file.
    It's a bit tricky but feasible.

    Good day

    I encountered some problems, maybe someone can help me.

    1) I used RRStringsTool to correct errors in Ukrainian localization and ran into a problem that the choice of the Ukrainian language in the settings, the system displays the English strings.

    2) Program in the field RRUIEditor VIEW AS LANGUAGE reflects only the languages from English to Dutch. It makes not possible to verify the Ukrainian localization on the PC.

    I would be grateful for your help, Alex

    Hello Alex,

    1) Very strange problem. First, what is the value of the line "language=" in the config.ini file in the I9 folder?

    2) Unfortunately the RRUIEditor (done by RoadRover) cannot be changed easily as we don't have the source code.
    So there are 2 things you can try:
    a)-Copy all your Ukrainian strings and replace all the Chinese strings. Build a new lang.dat with that and select Chinese in the RRUIEditor.
    b)-You can also copy all your I9 folder on a PC and run the RoadroverEmulator; that will let you test almost every screen.

    I tried to replace the Russian strings and it were English.
    When compared using Hex editor I concluded that the problem in compiling lang.dat. As you can see on image.

    Have to edit in Hex.

    It looks like you put an extra TAB control character on every Ukrainian line.
    There should not be any special character on a line as this would be interpreted as a new line.
    So in effect you only created half of the strings.

    Please read the instructions carefully and it should work!

    Hello

    I noticed small flaws while using the Ukrainian language, such as the use of on-screen keyboard and date format.

    That is:

    1) The date format in the desktop device has an English version. And should be dd mm yyyy (both in Russian)

    2) Screen Keyboard offers a Latin keyboard. I would like to have and Cyrillic (Screen Keyboard offers a Latin keyboard. I would like to have and Cyrillic (again, as in the use of the Russian language).

    So the question where these parameters are defined in the i9. That is, to edit or Black orange.rrui registers Windows.
