Yesterday it was near ninety where I live and my Prius said it was 71 degrees on the outside temp gauge inside of my car. Just wondering if the dealership can fix the temperature control thing easily?

Yes assuming it was not a temporary deviation. The readout should be accurate after driving for more than 5 minutes. Otherwise the ambient and the car metal temps may not be the same.

there was another thread on this and i don't believe a conclusion was reached or if anyone went back to the dealer. how long are you out for? does it change at all? mine takes 15-20 minutes to reach the correct temp.

After I posted this I drove my car this morning and it seems to be working right. I don't know what was going on yesterday.

After washing the car or rain it takes a while for the moisture to evaporate which will lower the readings. I have had it take several hours depending on the ambient conditions.

Everytime I wash my car, it takes at least 15 to 20 mins to get back to reading proper temps.
