Can someone with access kindly post the Toyota Specs for this surround (picture care of Frenchie is here http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-iii...hanged-out-head-unit-their-2010-prius-ii.html). I've gotta think there are HUs out there that may fit this - there are many aftermarket ones even built for Toyota (DVD GPS for TOYOTA HILUX RAV4 YARIS LANDCRUISER PRADO - eBay (item 220471589889 end time Sep-05-09 02:00:06 PDT)).

Also looking for a place to source these - not looking to wait 3+ months for someone else to build it....... I figure with the dimensions, I can work backward.

Also - anyone know what unit fits inside this opening?

That radio you posted is so full of win! ...... except no satellite radio! ARGH!!!

*Please* let us know if you get this and if it fits that trim piece, etc.

After having the ease of use for the satellite radio built into my Prius I'd hate to go back to using the iPhone app for it again! :(

This looks like a product from www <dot> szsoling <dot> com/en/products.aspx?id=29 (SHENZHEN SOLING INDUSTRLAL CO.,LTD). They and their agents & resellersadvertise HU's for a variety of OE style and aftermarket applications.

My other car is a Volvo and a Swedish company that appeared to have been working with szsoling or one of its agents advertised an an oe style HU on the swedespeed forum. The HU looked good, the fit could have been better and the programming needed improvement. The pricing was high, although other HUs for different makes are available on ebay for much less.

I don't have enough posts to include a hyperlink, you can find it by googling on "bluepower ipd-lucky"

    forums <dot> swedespeed <dot> com/zerothread?id=112059&postid=1297627

thread id=112059 (page=4) Titled: BluePower Multi Function Head Unit Owners Manual (BLP-840 & BLP-890)

I would only consider buying one of these if the vendor had a good return policy.

It keeps getting more complicated - now some yayhoo has an OEM Toyota NAV adding

800x480 screen resolution (the pictures look great)
    A DTV box
Camera with a backup sensor so you can see the distance as your backing up (I like this)
Better GUI (doesn't look from the screen shots as clunky)
2 SD card slots supporting 4G cards

It's not cheap - but looks cool - now waiting on an answer if it will fit....

TTFN - and thanks Frenchie !!!

    Link to EBay http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Din-Indash-DV...tion?hash=item3ca53dd8da&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

oh ya - it also has PIP (?????)...

since that 200 x 100 mm dimension seems somewhat standard would it not stand to reason that there would already be an insert to convert down to double din 180 x 100 mm

It's pretty cheap when compared to name brands, I'm a little worried about quality. Looks like it would be a perfect fit with the part number supplied by Frenchie.

    Keep us updated.

That's a pretty good idea, perhaps an e-mail to crutchfield would reveal the answer.

I have finally paid for and they are supposed to be shipping the thing.

It should fit the aftermarket thing I have chosen - which all in will be really closer to $800 (including the backup cam, sensor for range on the backup display, DTV add on, DTV antenna, switches for things, speakers, amp etc....).

    You should just wait.........

    Chan,

This trim piece is specific to Toyota (and others with similar OEM head units).

Its opening is 200mm x 100mm - most standard HUs are 180mm x 100mm. DO a look see at Frenchie's install - he used the Toyota trim, and added his own stuff on each side (not a perfect mate). Bottom line - this is the only trim piece currently available.

The HU I'm getting is a Chinese thing for other markets - but should fit... EBay "rav4 PIP" to see it...

Got my new bezel today via Pentagon sheffield Toyota (UK) along with my mud flaps (no extra shipping charges).

IT FITS THE OEM TOYOTA STEREO LIKE A GLOVE!:D

Now, mounting this monster is another thing...

It fits 200mmx100mm Head Units (which seem to also be a standard like 180x100)

Crossing my fingers that this HU just plugs in with no wiring changes...

Nice. Good luck with the wiring. It the wiring does not fit, I recommend you get a wiring harness adapter for toyota from any car shop instead of splicing into the OEM harness.

    Nice!

Is that that "OEM" head unit from ebay? The aftermarket "oem" one? Please hook it up asap and let us know how it goes!

Currently, there is *only* one supplier - that's Pentagon Sheffield Toyota in the UK. If you want this piece, you must contact them. Be warned - email is VERY SLOW. If you decide to order, they combine shipping, so instead of $35 shipping charge for a bezel, you can get your mud flaps on too...

Your options: Link to the mud flaps, and "ask a question" to the seller - wait, then ask it again, wait, ask one more time... You are asking if they can create a special auction for the bezel (or a special one for bezel and mud flaps). They'll do it - but it may take days/week+

If you really want the part {IMHO} you must call them, specifically state you need an Ebay auction for (whatever) - and try to wait on the phone until the auction is put up (once I finally got the right person, they made me an auction in a few minutes).

Once you get this far, buy it on EBay - they take 2 days to get it into their stock, then they ship FEDEX 2 day...

    Part numbers for Muds:
TOYOTA PRIUS GENUINE FRONT AND REAR MUDFLAPS 2009> - eBay (item 250496934099 end time Oct-11-09 06:07:04 PDT)
    Front: PZ416-G0960-00
    Rear: PZ416-G0961-00

Pentagon Phone number (call early in the AM):
    011-44-8448152444

    Good luck...

    What HU are you getting????????

Pentagon Toyota seems to have got this down. I sent in a ask a question on ebay and by the next morning the created the ebay auction for me. I ordered two days ago and now they informed me it has shipped.

I think you can still use the same ebay item number to order the trim and mud guards if you want. Remember this is for the mud guards and the Nav Trim piece.
