I wasn't expecting to go home with it. After driving it I wanted to drive a Corolla one more time... as I'm notorious for changing my mind A quick 30 seconds in the Corolla, and I knew I wanted the Prius. I read every one of the 600+ pages of the manual last night. Good stuff to know, but I've learned a lot more here at PC. So far... almost 60mpg on the SG. Just normal driving, taking it easy. I don't even know much about hypermiling yet, but I'm hoping to get the numbers a lot higher than 60's. The gauge in the Prius says about 47.1, which is probably more accurate... but I don't know. I haven't even set up anything in it yet. 100 miles on the odometer! I was dreading the buying experience, but there was absolutely no pressure whatsoever at the Toyota dealership. The finance guy listed everything on the extended warranty, and the prices (monthly and yearly). But was nonchalant about it... "here it is if you want it." And they didn't try to upsell anything at all. I paid sticker price, was happy with that. BTW... the rocker moldings and illuminated door sills look amazing!
