    Pack #3 is a good one. This summer, there were no pack 3's or even 4's available, mostly 2's and 5's, 6's. I wanted JBL, so pack 5 it needed to be.

    So, in late September, Toyota updates the 09 Prius options and announces pack #3's again. Several weeks ago, Toyota Sunnyvale starts advertising Prius with pack 3's at $24,888. Pack 5 sticker is $27,574 and with the summertime blues wait list, sticker was the norm to pay.

    Saving about $3k on pack 3 woulda been nice, but hindsight is always 20/20.

    Note to self - when buying a new car, wait 'til Thanksgiving or so.

    Congrats.

    Consider getting the Clean Pass stickers for the Long Island Expressway's HOV lane, and the Green EZPass toll transponder for bigger discounts on the NYS Thruway and certain NYC bridge and tunnel crossings.
