    been about a weeks since i got it, smells like a new car that already had leather.... sorry for the late pics but my phone was gone, just got my new phone....
    the quality of the seats are great, im 100% fully satisfied.
    perforated and charcoal grey color is the identical or a very close match to the factory issue.
    also got he windows tinted, light in the front and med in the rears.....
    now i just need the rear view cam with monitor in my rear view mirror...
    gonna hold off on the head unit upgrade. i like the 2012 HU, and i get by well with motionX gps app on my iphone~

    Tom from J&L did it for me. He charged me $900 but i think it was a good deal.....

    i got the same, but now i want to put in monitors in the headrest. cant find a place that can match the color..

    Does any one know of other installer for the Katzkins? Tom from J&L was not very friendly in terms of customer service. I texted him and request if I can get the same price as the prius chat folks for $900. He said there is no such thing, only one price for $995. I was like what, and he got upset at me. Then I ask if he can come do the work at my place while making the arrangeing, and all sudden he ignored me and not relying.

    If he care less of his customer, I can't trust him to perform a good job.

    I don't mine paying more, at least treat the customer right. So it would be helpful if you guys can refer another SoCal local installer to me?

    Haha......I've done lots of mods.....folding mirrors, turn signal mirrors, springs, fog wiring & doing a HID retro on my 2012 Prius.

    Swapped madmans 2010 Prius front end to the 2012.

    Swapped my my CTS front end to the CTS-V, OEM rear view cam, Bluetooth, springs, custom headlights.

    I'm sure the katzkins can't be that hard.......I did take upholstery in high school :D

    But seriously......if u want u get the material, I'll help u out......besides, I'll charge a lot less.

    How do aftermarket seat covers with with side airbags? Do the seams need to be of a certain type so they would split and allow the airbag to deploy?

    I don't know about all companies, but Katzkin makes their with the airbags in mind and as posted above it has something to do with the stitching in those parts. They used to have a video about it on their (or maybe on autoleathers.com which does some distribution) that outlined how it worked.

    I also had a really bad experience with him. I had an appointment with him to come and do some work for me and he didn't show up. When I text him asking him what happened, he told me that he would not be able to make it.... No kidding. I figured that out, when I didn't hear from him when he was 4 hours late. I had to contact him, to ask him where he was, he never bothered to contact me to tell me he was going to be able to make it. I asked him due to the inconvenience of him not showing up as scheduled if he could knock a few bucks off and he told me that maybe I should find someone else to do my work that he does not make deals.....

    I am always asking for a deal, also I like people keep their word and also I like good Customer Service, If any Installer is bad then we as Prius Chat member should NEVER use them and let everybody in here know, we are a big group of PRIUS, let them know we the ONE with money not them:), let' F... them U... all the way.

    wow, so sorry he was so rude. to me he was totally cool with everything. he even cut me a deal. on time and even the guy who came to take the parts off was really nice. (never met Tom face to face....)
