As we drive around we see many Prii and if it doesn't look just like ours (2012) we wonder what year it is. Does anyone know of a place to see pictures or profiles of all past years of Prius?

Those are not the pictures of models I was hoping to see when I opened this thread. :)

Here's the Wikipedia article. There are pictures of all the various models.

Ah Shoot. Here are the pictures from that article:

Those help a lot. For Gen III, the ones I see all the time, is there a way to differentiate 2010, 11, 12?

I think I can ID 2012 by taillights like mine.

The 2010 and 2011 models are the same. The refresh started with the 2012 model year. Like you, I take the main cue from the taillights. I'm sure there is a thread around here somewhere discussing all the external differences.

For the second gen Prius, 2004 and 2005 didn't have the "Hybrid" badge on the sides. Also, the grill didn't have the chrome accent.

As always, there are also variances based on the package such as the wheel size and headlight assembly.

It's pretty easy to discriminate between 2012 and 2010/11 by front end.
