We picked up our Pip a couple weeks ago and the first thing that went on was a 3M clear bra.

Question: If i place the sticker on the clear bra, will i be able to remove in 2 years? From what i've read it seems like the best way to remove these stickers is to use a heat gun/hair dryer to remove them from paint. The problem is... thats the same technique for removing the clear bra.

Solution 1: Remove the entire bra and apply a new on when the tags expire.
Solution 2: Plate the front sticker in the window
Solution 3: Use some sort of license plate bracket that can be secured behind the front license plate and provide a surface to place the sticker. I guess my concern is how likely is someone to rip off the entire bracket causing damage to the bumper? Can i find hardware that is special enough that joe schmo can't just come and unscrew it.

    What do you guys think?

I think more than concern of someone stealing it is if the law in your state says to mount in the corners of the vehicle on the bumper and you use a mount off the plate bracket in the center of the vehicle, an officer will ticket if he feels like ticketing.

solution 4: just stick it in the right place and leave it there forever

Solution 4 sucks, but it may be the best way to go. We already have tinted driver and passenger windows, so i don't want to give the 5-0 any reason to pull us over.

The only way not to give the officers reason to pull you over is place them where they belong.

Unless you want to consider something I think a few, very few, may have done. That is mount the stickers on magnets or some kind of magnetic sheet cut to the shape of the sticker. Place some magnetic source behind the bumper in the proper locations and magnetically stick the stickers on the bumper. But that would leave you way more open to theft or simply loosing them IMO.

I thought about that too, but i'm sure i would forget to remove it that one time and they're be stolen. I'm also worried that it would just blow away while on the freeway or something. Arrrgh..#4 it is.

I think you're choosing the best solution for the long term.

I used pieces of 3m cut a little bigger then the stickers on my 2006. When I had to replace the front bumper the 3m and stickers were not reusable. So for me on my 2012, I just put them on the paint.

It's the law to stick on corners of bumpers. Please follow the rule.
