I have been going back and forth on what tint darkness I want to do on my Prius and would like to see some tinted Prius to help me decided.

Please post pic and what tint % you have.

    Thanks in advance!

35% all the way around. Don't base it solely on looks as visibility becomes a big factor at night. I have another car with 20% and it's very hard to see at times, especially in the rain. Yes 20% during the day is much preferred (really cuts down on the sun) but at night it's a pain.

It's a little hard to tell, but are you guys tinting the lower back window too? I am going to do tint in a few weeks when I'm back from Vacation and was not sure if I'd do that or not. Seems like a waste of money as I can't see much light coming in from there anyway.

I had my lower back window tinted just a shade lighter than the rear window, to help with visibility at night, etc.

When I had mine done, the shop told me the vertical back hatch glass was factory-tinted to about 15% already, so the new 15 on the hatch and rear windows match that level. Appears to be right on.

BTW - my tint meets FL vehicular law. Made sure of that...and did not want evening driving issues..does not.

35% front 5% rear. Llumar tint

I had to remove the front tint due to tickets so I replaced it with 70% just to get more UV reduction. I miss the 35% though. :(

Anyone have a pic with 50%? Minnesota law restricts tint to that level and I'd like to see what it actually looks like.

    Thanks!

I read on another thread about all of the factory tint levels. I think the sides were like 70 or something. Can anybody confirm or recall the true values for the factory tint levels?

I have been waiting for 35% light transmission tint to be legal here, it is now so I might visit the tint shop soon.

Does anyone have any pics of a black prius with anything lighter than extremely dark tint?

I'm on the fence about whether or not to tint my car. I think very dark tint on a black car makes it look smaller and cheap, and kinda ruins a lot of the car's "lines", esp, if there isn't a lot of quality chrome (and the prius has no reason to have any chrome imo)

Does anyone know what kind of tint comes stock on some Mercedes? It looks slightly silver, maybe even a little blue, still a bit dark, but definitely light enough to contrast with a black body. contrast can be classy.

something more like this (maybe not SOOO silver?):

Get a metallized tint rather than a regular dye and you will get that kind of reflectiveness.

It's illegal in California though. You cannot have anything more reflective than your stock window. Most people stick with the carbon tint for this reason.
