[IMG]I am thinking about Powder Coating my original Prius V rims with deep blue color similar to the color on the logo? My Prius V is a Sky Blue Metallic so I think it goes well with deep blue rims. What do you think? Similar color to the rim in the pic.

Well, since nobody else has chimed in yet... I think anodizing will look better. Anodized wheels have the appearance of dyed metal; which should compliment the 'metallic' characteristic of your Prius' Sky Blue Metallic paint color. Just my $0.02. ;)

Please keep us posted... I'd like to see pictures once you're done.

So will powder coating. Unless you get the powder base with a good UV inhibitor in it! It's worth asking the coatings place a question or two on UV! Nothing looks worse than a white powdery smutz on your nicely colored rims!

I'm fairly certain that anodized wheels will standup to the elements just as well as powder coated wheels will as long as they're properly cared for. More importantly, aesthetics are the primary motivator here... So, form has to take precedent over function.

The picture looks good on that car because of the Stance, Wheel type and the wheel color to body color contrast.

I don't think the deep blue color is going to look good with the color of your car. Don't do it.

If you do that, you have automatically singled out your wheels as a modification. You are then pretty much required to get lower profile tires and lower the vehicle's stance so that it doesn't look silly. Just changing the rims will get you laughed at. If you are doing it because you just want blue rims, then do what you want. If you are doing it to make your car look good, then do it only if you know it is step #1 in a multi-step process that should be done in sequence rapidly.
