This may be the ultimate newbie question...what is the card holder for on the left side of the dashboard just under the vent? Credit card? Toll booth card? The owners manual does not address this except to show a generic card being slid into the slot.
You can use it for any type of card you would like, I usually use it for my parking card or ticket when in a parking garage.
Yeah I think I will probably never use that, though it is a funny idea, because I'll have he opportunity to use it so infrequently that when I could use it I will probably forget.
Exactly! Only my Dr's office has a ticketed garage and the two times I was there I used the visor by habit...
I find it to be a thoughful touch. If anything, I think I'd prefer it on the right of the steering wheel so my passenger could have access and figure out the tolls. Since it's not, when I have a passenger, I hand it to her for safe keeping. When I'm alone, however, I think it's nice to have a safe place to store where I don't have to concern myself with it, possibly, disappearing somewhere when I need it to pay a toll.
I love it. I used to put my parking garage ticket in the CD player slot... until one day when I had to fish one out of there with tweezers.
you can only use it for what toyota tells you that you can use it for. just like with the bottle holder in the side of the door. it is for bottles only. the picture tells you this.
is it bad that when i read the title of this thread for the first time, i thought there was a virgin posting a thread about something to do with the prius?
