Prius v (lowercase v) 2012 lower door trim shrinkage?

I was doing the late summer clean out on my 2012 Prius v (lowercase v) today and noticed the drivers side, lower plastic door trim has shrunk. It is now leaving a gap towards the back of the door and a smaller one up front. Gap is almost 1/2 inch on back, about 1/4 inch up front. My car is just about to hit the 40k mark and sits outside all the time. Has anyone else seen this or know of any fixes coming from Toyota?
