Prius vs Fusion vs Jetta TDI vs Insight

Hi,

So I called the Volkswagen dealer:

"Do you have any Jetta TDIs?"

"No but we've 50 vehicles coming in on truck."

"Ok, could I come out there Saturday?"

"No, they won't be here by then."

So I called the Ford dealer:

"Do you have a Ford Fusion hybrid?"

"We sold three already but we have one left?"

"Could I come and see it tomorrow?"

"That would be fine."

So I'm thinking about driving through the Toyota dealer's lot since they had one two days ago.

As for the Honda Insight, sorry, I still remember the bump on my head.

But you know, it sure is hard to sell what you don't have in inventory.

Drove a Milan Hybrid and a Jetta TDI Sportwagon the other day. Milan is beautiful, but no folding rear seat, so the trunk is just a trunk. And it is heavy. And expensive. And lower mpg rated than Prius. But a very fine car.

Jetta had a big markup 4K to 5K over MSRP. Would hate the car in town driving, thinking of a Prius engine all stationary. Don't trust VW dealer or VW reliability.

Love our Honda's, but prefer a full hybrid to IMA. We have an older CRV and a 2008 Fit Sport that have been great.

Hope to finally get a Prius 2010 soon. Dealer had 1, but it was spoken for. Another dozen expected mid-June. I'd prefer the II, plain, but wife wants III with NAV. So the smart play is III with NAV. Some day I'll put my foot down, though.

I saw 4 new Prius getting delivered today.

That was pretty sweet sighting.

I find the study "results" dubious. Unfortunately, it seems more mainstream media is picking up on it...

They should do the same survey on how many people will never buy another VW except use facts in this new study.....

The article didn't note that the study period included the time span when Prius supply was seriously limited by the Japanese Tsunami.

If you are considering the Fusion, wait for the 2013.

It is a great looking car with up to date technology. I wanted to wait for the 2013 Ford Fusion but the wife wanted a car sooner rather than later.

is that how long it's going to be? we were going to look at one but if that's the case, we'll be getting another hycam.
