Pulled up behind another Prius c today...

I was so excited. It was my first sighting.

I was on a small side street and pulled up behind a black Prius c. Then we ended up being next to each other at a red light. I waved to the guy and he finally noticed me and rolled his window down. We had a nice exchange of compliments (me: It looks good in black! him: your silver looks good too!).

Then the light changed.

So when are you seeing him again?

He was about 10 years younger than me, plus he had out of state plates, so I think it's over...

Cool! I've seen a few Prius c's on the road over the last couple months since I got mine but they are never going in the same direction as me. The other day a Yaris pulled up behind me and I noticed the driver checking out my car. I wish I knew what he was saying to the person next to him.

I love whenever you see someone driving the same car as you, you get totally excited - like you're part of the same club I still feel this way any time I see someone driving my car. It will be even better because I feel like the Prius C's are still so new and rare, it will be that much more exciting and bonding!

It's supposed to come anytime!! I'm getting anxious...it's been over 10 weeks! I will of course post photos!

There's someone who works for the same company as I do that has a summer rain (1, I believe) and another person with a Habanero 2 (she's actually the reason I fell in love with the Prius C). My Summer Rain C4 should be in at the end of this month-- I'm really tempted to park next to the other one, even though they're in another building

Are you sure you only fell in love with the C and not also the girl driving the C?

I was on a day trip down to Bellingham and stopped in at a Trader Joe's. The parking lot was jammed, and I swear every other vehicle was a Prius. I didn't spot any other Cs. But I suddenly felt like a bit of a yuppie stereotype, taking my Prius out to buy organic groceries with my reusable bags ;-)

I pulled up behind this one the other day.. didn't even realize it was a Prius!!

I live in Raleigh, NC and have not seen another one...yet...

I work in Charlotte, NC and have not seen another C yet....

I've been in the woods away from the Internet for a week so I just saw this, hence the late reply...but I totally agree!

After I got my Prius C I went to Whole Foods and I had NPR on and I got out of my car with my Whole Foods reusable bags and felt like such a stereotype.

I saw 6 Prius Cs today. Most were women and old men. In fact, one old man waved and another lady gave me the peace sign while smiling happily! I really don't fit the Prius C demographic personally, but as a small family car for the city it was a necessary buy!

I haven't seen that Prius style either, is that a rebuild or something?

No that is the Gen 1 Prius. I believe it was available in Japan in 1997 then in the US in 2000. In 2003 toyota changed to the body style that everyone is familiar with today.

My sainted mother bought a VW in 1958 when you had to wait two to three months to get one. There were not a lot of VW's around and it was always exciting to see another one in the wild. The tradition among early VW owners involved flashing headlights. My uncle, an Oldsmobile man, thought this was crazy and said if they liked their little cars so much they should pull over to the side of the road, get out and bow to one another. My mother just laughed. She was a both a pioneer and a character -- why else would you buy a VW at a time a gallon of gas cost 21 cents!
