49.1 with over 220 on this tank. I've got around 1,900 on the car as this is my best tank yet. With little change in driving style/trips (I work around 7 miles from home so make frequent short trips) I've improved 4 mpg over my last tank.

I'm hoping to hit the 50s soon.

57MPG @ 180 miles. Been raining here off and on for days. Keepin' the temps cool has reduced AC use, though I still run it for dehumidification. That's raised the MPGs back up. The short trips during the day are the only thing bringing it down now. On the commute alone I would be over 60.

52.3mpg with about 575 miles. I'm at one bar left on the tank (not flashing when I stopped). Yup, I'll be getting fuel immediately after work.

I have just about a quarter left before I need to fill up .It says on the screen I am avg 49.4 and I have gone about 310 miles.. Should I disregard the screen and wait till I do the math at fill up? It seems to good to be true what the screens says!.

I'm at one bar under half full on the guage, 410 miles and 53.0 on the MFD.
Pretty close to what I've been averaging since tank #1. :)

I've had my car for 3 days now. Have driven about 155 miles at 50.3 mpg. Thus far, my trips my been limited to a 10 mile one-way commute on combination freeway & surface streets, with several short trips added in for good measure. Before buying the car, I told myself I'd be happy to average 50 mpg. My expectations have certainly been met.

56.6 mpg over the last 382 miles
    :bootyshake:
driven mostly on NC and VA highways with speed limits ranging from 45 to 65. It has been in the 80s and 90s here, so I was using the air conditioner almost the whole time, & I was driving at the speed limits or about 2 or 3 miles over them.

Mine does seem to be getting better & better mileage as it breaks in; right now I've got probably my best ever average. My car has about 7500 miles on it. Is there a screen that shows the car's total lifetime average mpg, or is that something you would have had to keep track of & calculate yourself from the beginning (sorry if this is a question that's been answered a billion times before)?

I would like to have a screen available that shows your lifetime mpg too. Unfortunetly, i don't think there is. What i'm doing is keeping all my gas receipts. I got the car with only 5 miles on it, so i'll just use the lifetimes miles of the car and the lifetime gallons pumped. I was tempted to write down my average on every reciept... or mark it down on the calender in the car. I currently mark the dates i do fill up. Currently, it's once every week or so i fill up. Usualy i travel around 400+ miles and pump around 9.5 gallons. I have realized that my mpg is slowly going up.

I would be around 50mpg.. but i decided to drive it.. well.. race it over a mountain road. Car handles well though. Not as good as my 318i.. but not bad at all.

60.3 mpg at 494 miles on this tank. The weird thing is that my last bar just started flashing. I last filled the tank with exactly 10 gallons, and I'm normally able to go at least 550 miles before the flash and more than 600 miles before a new fill when I'm getting this kind of mileage. Also, the gauge skipped the second to last bar entirely. Up until now, the gauge has been quite consistent. I'm up to 7500 total miles with a lifetime mileage of 55.1.

    Classic mileage

I have recently started on my first full tank in my Classic (02) Prius and the dash now says 49.6 MPG, 93 Miles after several trips, some mixed city (Sunnyvale) and freeway (85/280 at around 65 Mph).

I have tuned the car to the specs (oil level, wheel alignment) keep the windows closed when possible and have increased the tire pressure to 42/40 on the original Potenza's.
Before all improvements, the mileage (on a half-filled tank) was more like 35 MPG.
I also like to force the car into electric mode (without EV button!) by gently
increasing speed to max / traffic flow and then release the gas partially when in town and below 42 Mph so I start to coast electric.

    Regards,
    Cor.
    02 Aqua 13k 49.6MPG current, 46 MPG overall.

3rd tank put 10.8 gallons in with 1 bar left and 466 miles on this tank full 43.3MPG much less than last one? I did fill more in the tank after it clicked? I did take the car to coco beach 50 mile trip had 3 people in the car and I averaged 50MPG according to the screen.. My screen showed average 47.7 for this last tank with the 466 miles.. Alittle disappointed :( .. I have just over 1200 miles on car... Should I be concerned ?

No, you shouldn't be concerned at all. There are many many variables and you don't have many miles on the car. Those numbers are all reasonable and will likely improve as your driving technique adapts to the car and as the car breaks in over the next 5000 miles or so.

Good I will continue to achieve 50+ in the near future ..Maybe I should not let my teenage age kids(permit drivers) drive this car? I have 3 of them 2 with permits and one with license... enough said...

Here is my spreadsheet I have been using. I cleaned it up a little so it was easier to read on the message board. My average for the Cleveland area has been about 51MPG.
