Well, my radio waited until it was about 4000 miles out of warranty before it started acting up. A few months ago I was listening to the radio when all of a sudden it got a little louder (no, it wasn't the ASL) - and the volume knob was unresponsive. It stayed like that for about 15 min. until I stopped at a store. When I came out, it was working fine. About a month later it happened again. Now it just happened twice this week. Only this time I discovered all the buttons on the radio dash were unresponsive - twiddle the knobs, push the buttons, nothing. Couldn't even turn it off! The good news was the steering wheel buttons still functioned OK, as did the MFD controls. The second time this week it actually cleared up after a few min. without turning off the car. Of course, even if it had been in warranty it would have started working fine as soon as I pulled into the dealer's lot. I suppose there's nothing that can really be done about it other than replacing the radio when it finally quits working. Feel free to leave your suggestions, thoughts, condolences, etc.
