If you are like me then you likely have spent hours reading the different threads and going to your dealership looking and looking at the all new Prius C. While this is not a bad car I would strongly recommend you think twice before buying one. That being said I purchased one myself. I wish I read my post before doing so. Please keep in mind this is my opinion, so take it as such. I purchased the C3 super white. Love the color by the way. Now to my beefs with the car. Size: You may find yourself justifying and saying you will not need the room or that "you can make it work" like I did. I have one little boy in a car seat (rear facing) each time my wife and I get in the car her seat has to be slid up to put it in then slid back to give her the room so her knees are not in the dash. Not a lot of space for any kind of gear. Our pack and play fits ok but the stroller that fits the car seat will not and must be put in the back seat. While I realize many people do not have kids you may at one time and even taking people in the back seat can be uncomfortable. Next the ride: The bumps are initially ignored because its your new car and you don't want to have any negative thoughts about your purchase but eventually the honeymoon is over and you realize that the car you traded in rode a little better(2000 corolla) but thats not all. The bumps will eventually drive you a little crazy but you justify the back pain by saying I'm getting the mpgs(54 lifetime). Price: While you talk yourself into justifying the higher price paid over the other car models. The honda fit(owned one and loved it), versa(much better ride and quieter) and fiesta(no real comparison here). You think of the money that you will be saving and entertaining thought of 60 to 70 mpg per tank because I drive a prius better than those other people. You quickly settle into your 50 mpg reality. Entertainment: Entunes=Horrible is a post on here and describes it perfectly. Entunes will likely get better with future cars and may be a nice option then. As for now, it's not much to look at. Pandora can just as easily be played over bluetooth and actually works more seamlessly. As for the navigation, you won't use it like you thought because its not as easy as google maps or as nice to use. The glare on the screen itself is horrible but most screens in cars tend to be that way when in direct sunlight. The angle it sits at does not seem to be well thought out. Thanks for reading. Keep in mind, this is my own opinion but likely secretly shared by those slowly coming out of their Prius C euphoria. So I will not be offended if I get some flack about my post. If it were me, I would bite the bullet and spend an extra grand and just get the lift back. And for those curious I am now the proud owner of a new Prius 2 lift back. I look forward to your responses!
