Rear license plate bulb help.

    Anyone know how to access the rear bulbs for the license plate. I just got the Ijdm deluxe LED kit but cant figure out how to get them out. I tried a search but had not luck, any help would be appreciated thanks

    There are 2 plastic covers on the hatch door, one for each bulb. Twist the bulb assembly (i forget which way) to take it out of the housing. Pull on the bulb.

    The covers have a small recess near a top corner to start the process. Note the top needs to be popped loose first, the lower edge clips have a 90 degree bend and can not be pried straight out.
    Some cheap LEDs I had around from motorcycle gauge use went right in, turn on headlights and confirm bulbs are inserted the "right way around" so they light before closing up the covers. ;^)

    Can also vouch for SIRIUSLEDs. Have replaced all T10's with them besides the ones that turn on with the sun visor's mirror. Running strong for about 2-3 years.
    However they were too bright for parking lights and used these SIRIUSLEDs instead.

    Yeah that’s a gotcha for me; I do it so infrequently I forget. That recess is a clue eh.
