Hello All, I'm about to take the plunge and get on the waiting/order list. I'm having difficulty picking a color though. I could swear from seeing them in person while driving around there are two variations of red. One nice bright red, and another darker red. I think the darker red is Barcelona Red. The dealer only tells me there has always only been one red. Am I going nuts or is/was there two colors of red? I live in Oregon so I know it wouldn't be an country variation thing. -Thanks
Ignorant dealership salesman...... Barcelona Red Metallic (left) Salsa Red Pearl (right) Another shot at equal levels Barcelona Red is the current red paint option that is available. Salsa Red was only for 2004-2005 I believe.
Thanks for the reply, not to sound like a dummy, but my Aunt just bought a Rav-4 with Barcelona Red Metallic and it looks like the one you call salsa. Hmmm... Do they have variation on the same color line?
Thanks! I took em off because of the milage hit. I'm leaving em in the storage shed until someone comes out with a low RR 17" tire. Centerline Monsoon RPM (14lbs and fairly cheap if I remember correctly)
There should be no variation but sunlight and viewing angle differences might account for the color shift. See how dark mine looks in the first pic? Now look at it in bright sunlight and with a fresh coat of polish. It changes the color a bit. Sorry for all the pics of my car. what story have you heard in oregon re; wait/never list. reports here on pc are there are few to be had and dealers are selling to the one who comes up with the highest bid
