I need information for the 3 pin L79 connector.
There is no 3 pin L79 in Norwegian cars, and I can not finish the installation of PT398-47110.
Is there anyone who wants to find out what signal the
two wires has on your car? A green wire and a purple wire in the white 3 pin L79 connector located in the foot break area...

Hi! I have exactly same problem with my belgian car!!! Today i tried to connect remote engine starter. i dont found the 3 pin plug what you described, so i tried to work without it. The result is my car is not working. I tried the techstream two times to learn remote starter, but failed. Third times i removed the remote starter, and the car still not working. display: check hybrid system, and only P and N shift is work. And the worst: the techstream obd say: unable to connect vim...

    Sounds expensive...I'm very sorry.
I had this possibility in my mind, so I didn't want to
just try out to connect to some green and purple wires
in the same area.. I was thinking about trying the lock / unlock signal wires, but would rather like to be sure about the signal...
I wish someone could take a look at they're American Prius, and sort it out....

If you can't connect to your car with Techstream, be sure to check for blown fuses. Did you try to connect to the lock/ unlock signals as I am thinking about?

Im really the most stupid people in the world.... I only put back the high voltage fuse, but dont closed the safety switch... After i corrected my mistake, removed 12v battery, wait 10 minutes, connect techstream, deleted dtc, and everythinks all right!!! car start without error.

After lunch, i try re attach the remote starter without the 3 pin plug.

Ha, ha :) That can happen to anyone!
    Great that nothing is broken.
I hope we can find out how to solve the problem with the three pin L79 connector....
Have you found the L79 connector in the Electric wiring diagram? I wonder if this is to be found in EWD for Americans only.
I am a Toyota Master Technician, but probably only have access to the European wiring diagram?...
I wish someone could help us with this...
    There's very little response here..
Promise me to inform me if you have any idea's.

We have to give up. I buyed a 2 day usa TIS account for 15USD, and look after the connectors.

I downloaded from TIS the remote starter Guide for wiring. The Violet, and green wire is 3th and 4th pin in the RES ECU:

So is not for door open or close, or anything else what we can solve... is for the main communication wire, what is only in American prius, not Norwegian, and Belgian. So we have to give up...

I downloaded a full wiring diagram, and a lot of stuff, if you are interested in, i send all it to You. :)

    Hmm.... Well, I knew I took a chance. ..
But I will be very grateful if you give me the wiring. .
I refuse to give up yet. ......

    Thank you for the email!
Looks like it's still being a problem, yes.....
It's probably a stupid thing to do, but it is attempting to connect to the CAN H and CAN L somewhere....

I think not can h, and can l.

Looks like special channel with rx and tx.

Today i will try one really stupid thing. I will attach the RES ECU to the main body ecu L7 connector 4, and 16 pin. (Its violet and green, if you have a dball starter you need to attach these wires, and finally its name for the dball: rx and tx.)

So if the wires colors same in my car (european ver) i try.

    That is very interesting!
I have seen the same as you on dball remote start, but I could not see any wires at all on that location in my car.
But I think it has the wires on my father's 2011 Prius. ..
It looks like a very different Body Ecu wiring. .

In the eu prius missing thesee two wire... i would like to try attach thesee two pin to the L7 connector, but i dont found required pins in this time.

But if we havent thesee two pins, we cant attach DBALL product tooo.

Or we try to attach two pin to the rx and tx hole to the L7 plug...

Yes, I will try to find some pins that fits next week. But I am a bit sceptical because the purple wire on the RES has 12 volt. ..This is a bit of a nut.....I wonder why they have made the wiring so different on the same cars..
